DeepTechX Compounding Notes – Week of November 23–29, 2025
Europe’s defense-tech awakening meets the AI infrastructure buildout, while quantum and climate hardware quietly collect nine-figure checks.
I am Yervand Sarkisyan, founder of DeepTechX. I follow the news across AI, advanced compute, robotics, biotech and scientific discovery.
These are my compounding notes - insights that build on each other week after week, helping us understand where frontier technology is headed.

The Week in Context
This was the week Europe’s deeptech thesis stopped being theoretical. Quantum Systems hitting €3B+ valuation and Physical Intelligence raising $600M for robotics foundation models signal that AI is leaving the browser and entering the physical world. European LPs are finally writing growth checks at American scale. Shark Robotics deploying 40 firefighting robots to Ukraine proves we’re past prototypes: these machines operate in actual war zones, compressing R&D cycles from decades to months.
Meanwhile, Dassault-Mistral’s sovereign AI partnership, imec opening a semiconductor hub in Qatar, and Paradromics getting FDA approval for brain chip trials confirm the trend: the world is growing into regional tech stacks, and regulatory tailwinds are meeting hardware maturity. The next 18 months will show whether Europe can actually manufacture at scale.
